เตรียมเช็คลิสต์สาขาวิชาที่ Australia ประกาศขยายเวลา Post-Study Visa ให้อีก 2 ปี

ประกาศล่าสุดจากทางสถานทูตของประเทศออสเตรเลีย ที่จะเริ่มมีผลในเดือนกรกฎาคมปี 2023 นี้ แจ้งว่านักศึกษาที่กำลังศึกษาต่อในระดับปริญญาตรี ปริญญาโท และปริญญาเอก ในสาขาวิชาที่กำหนด สามารถขอวีซ่า Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) และได้ใช้สมัครวีซ่า Post-Study Work stream เพื่อใช้เวลาในการ ‘ทำงานหลังเรียนจบ’ แล้ว เรายังสามารถขอวีซ่า Second Post-Study Work stream เพิ่มขึ้นได้อีก 2 ปี ดังนี้

ผู้ที่เรียนจบหลักสูตรปริญญาตรี จะได้เวลา Second Post-Study Work stream บวกจาก 2 ปี รวมเป็น 4 ปี
ผู้ที่เรียนจบหลักสูตรปริญญาโท จะได้เวลา Second Post-Study Work stream บวกจาก 3 ปี รวมเป็น 5 ปี
ผู้ที่เรียนจบหลักสูตรปริญญาเอก จะได้เวลา Second Post-Study Work stream บวกจาก 4 ปี รวมเป็น 6 ปี

โดยประกาศนี้มาจากการประเมินและความคาดหวังของแรงงานคุณภาพในประเทศออสเตรเลีย ของรัฐบาลและหน่วยงาน Jobs and Skills Australia and the Department of Education ที่กำลังต้องการทรัพยากรบุคคลเข้าไปสู่ตลาดแรงงาน

ทั้งนี้ บัณฑิตระดับปริญญาเอกของทุกสาขาวิชาที่เรียนต่อกับมหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศออสเตรเลีย สามารถขยายเวลาทำงานหลังเรียนจบได้เป็น 6 ปีทุกคน เป็นเงื่อนไขพิเศษ

แต่สำหรับบัณฑิตระดับปริญญาตรีและโท จะต้องตรวจสอบสาขาวิชาที่ตนเรียนก่อน ดังนี้

สำหรับเงื่อนไขในการต่อวีซ่าเพิ่มขึ้น 2 ปีจากเดิม คือ

ต้องเป็นผู้ถือวีซ่า Temporary Graduate visa (Post-Study Work stream) จนถึงวันที่ 1 กรกฎาคม 2023
ต้องเป็นผู้ยื่นสมัครขอวีซ่า Temporary Graduate visa (Post-Study Work stream) ภายในวันที่ 1 กรกฏาคม 2023 เป็นต้นไป
หรือเป็นผู้ยื่นสมัครขอวีซ่า Temporary Graduate visa (Post-Study Work stream) หลังจากวันที่ 1 กรกฎาคม 2023 เป็นต้นไป

แต่ถ้านักศึกษาเป็นผู้ที่ถือวีซ่า Temporary Graduate visa (Post-Study Work stream) แล้วหมดอายุก่อนวันที่ 1 กรกฎาคม 2023 แล้วมีคุณสมบัติตรงตามที่ทางสถานทูตกำหนด คือจบการศึกษาจากสาขาวิชาดังกล่าว ก็สามารถสมัครขอขยายเวลาทำงานหลังเรียนจบได้เพิ่มอีก 2 ปี แต่ในกรณีแบบนี้ ทางสถานทูตจะดำเนินการให้วีซ่าประเภทนี้ ที่ชื่อว่า Temporary Activity Australian Government Endorsed Events (COVID-19 Pandemic Event) visa (subclass 408) ซึ่งมีอายุ 2 ปีแทน

และนักศึกษาจะมีสิทธิ์ยื่นสมัคร Temporary Activity Australian Government Endorsed Events (COVID-19 Pandemic Event) visa (subclass 408) ได้ ถ้าหาก

ผู้สมัครถือวีซ่า Temporary Graduate visa (Post-Study Work stream) ก่อนวันที่ 15 ธันวาคม 2021
วีซ่า Temporary Graduate visa (Post-Study Work stream) มีผลตั้งแต่ 1 กุมภาพันธ์ 2020 เป็นต้นไป
หรือผู้สมัครอยู่ในประเทศออสเตรเลียตลอดระยะเวลาช่วงที่วีซ่า Temporary Graduate visa (Post-Study Work stream) มีผล ตั้งแต่ 1 กุมภาพันธ์ 2020 ถึง 15 ธันวาคม 2021
และผู้สมัครมีคุณสมบัติตรงกับที่สถานทูต คือจบการศึกษาจากสาขาวิชาที่กำหนดในรายละเอียดข้างต้น
